The learning of the French language is the subject of a wide variety of "by the book" methods, but often their effectiveness leaves much to be desired. One of the flaws this method has is its complexity which makes a number of readers, who are looking for a simple and easy method of learning French, discouraged and not wanting to continue. This book was designed to introduce a simpler method. The humble goal is to familiarize its reader's mind with the basic vocabulary of the French language. To do this, it simply presents a selection of 1000 of the most common words in English and their closest meanings to each word in French
