I scribe this snapshot of my history for you to read about it because it's as if they want us to forget, or for us to purge it. So, I etch it into your hearts with the blood, sweat, and tears of my soul. These scriptures are here in hopes that history doesn't rewind and repeat itself, in hopes that my son's son will never feel the sun scorching his back but it allows him to understand what his forefathers felt. For my daughter's daughter to see in the bus of life that she should be comfortable to sit in whatever position she pleases. For us to feel how powerful a dream can be to have, to contemplate how something as small as a droplet can cause a wave of emotions that can douse any fire of hatred or oppression. Your first step will always lead to leaps and bounds. It only takes one movement to start a chain reaction.
