At a young age we heard that we should focus on a person's inside and not on the outward appearance, and although that is true, we live in a world that judges the outside first. Why is this? Because it's the first thing we see! This is why no matter how we feel, we should get up, get dressed, and look our best so we feel our best! We must let the world know that we love ourselves and that love will teach other people how to love us in return, and if the world doesn't love us, at least by our appearance they will respect us. When we hold ourselves to a high standard, nobody has the power to lower that standard. We hold the power. We are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and in the words of one of my favorite pastors "If God is our Father; we should look like Him!" Our Heavenly Father is a King and we are His heirs representing royalty.Put on your imaginary tiara (or real one if you have it).
