The decision to be baptized into Christ represents the beginning of our walk with Jesus. As a part of the family of God, we are then responsible for setting a path for spiritual growth and maturity. Steven Cordle charts a course for all who would discover a closer walk with Jesus. God has graciously provided examples of those who have grown and matured in their faith. There are habits and characteristics that must be learned and incorporated into our daily lives. There are also those behaviors that hinder our growth which must be weeded from our lives if we are to develop into the likeness of Christ. Spiritual growth requires an intentional effort on our part. No one can "coast" to heaven. We must choose to have a closer walk with Jesus. STEVE CORDLE was born in Montgomery, Alabama and raised in Alaska. He became a Christian in 1985 after studying the Bible with a college roommate. He received his BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks in 1987 and graduated from the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado in 1994. Steve has served churches in four states and Canada.
