A Day In The Life Of An Ambulance Driver is memoir as told from the viewpoint of Adam Weddle during his time as an Emergency Medical Technician, paramedic and Navy Corpsman. The stories are based on real life situations and told with attention to detail in an attempt to help the reader visualize the experience for him or herself. The author has over 20 years of experience in emergency medicine and critical care. He chose the stories included in this book to show the broad range of medical situations that happen during the course of a career. This book contains stories of medical humor, sadness and human compassion. It is the authors hope that the readers will gain a little insight into what first responders go through on a daily basis. The men and women that have served as first responders as EMTs and paramedics, whether it was in an active war zone or in areas of terror attacks, have witnessed horrors much worse than are portrayed in these pages. They have placed their lives on the line for those that they helped. This is not to make light of or belittle any of the work done by these brave men and woman.
