A gripping story of a young man’s bout with his battles in real life and a fictitious reality. Unable to separate the make believe from the everyday world, the struggle of radio personality Darcy Buckner is as touching as it is tragic. From the highs of career success to the lows of sociopathic depression, Buckner gives people a reason to love him and hate him. Despite constant rejection from family, Buckner is convinced he can overcome and lead a happy life, although the paths he takes have more than a few bumps along the way.
Buckner follows two life paths: a make-believe world where he is a celebrity, and in the real world where he is becoming a well-known personality. The two worlds often remain separate, but frequently collide to create disastrous results.
Being socially inept, Buckner sabotages relationships and thinks hatred will get people to like him. Whether it is turning on his best friend and secretly revealing her betrayal or owning a successful media company that sees him mingling with celebrities on the red carpet, Buckner never knows how he will react and if life will come crashing down.
A Double Dose of Sociopath traces the emotionally unstable journey of Darcy Buckner, examines his dynamic relationships and his extreme reactions to the self-created worlds around him.
