We’ll venture walking on the stone walls and hiding in the corn fields….we’ll ride the old buggy down the hills and pretend we’re Tarzan swinging on the stalky vines in the woods. Mud pies for the neighbor and bouquets of dandelions for grandma are some of the treasures we’ll share. We lived during World War II. Sirens and blackouts were frightening and conserving and rationing were a way of life.
