IT WAS GOING TO BE CALLED "THE BOOK OF KEVIN"
But that sounded too "manifesto."
It started with Neil Gaiman recommending a notebook, and an author marking his 50th birthday. Every day, for 123 days, a bestselling novelist wrote down the little bits of wisdom he'd heard and learned from mentors and family and friends over the years, as well as some things he'd thought of all on his own. And after the notebook was full he typed it all up, read it all through, and somehow learned a few new things himself.
A Note from the Author is 123 days of exploration and reflection, inspiration and extrapoltion. From Stoic philsophy to folksy wisdom, every page has something to teach and carry with you.
From "Grattitude is a Cheat Code" to the uncomfortable notion that "The Obstacle Could Be You," this book is packed with the sort of wisdom you would hope to get from a true friend or a brilliant mentor. And no one is more surprised about it than the author himself.
