These extracts contain also all the evidence I can find of a church build ing on Eastern Neck, previous to the foundation of St. Paul's Parish in six teen hundred and ninety three. It is as follows, (in substance) The town of New Yarmouth was built upon land purchased of Maior Thomas Ringgold, by a man named Tovey.
