Coles A Suitcase Full of Stars and Tears: a Book of Poetry for the Introspective Soul at Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa, ON

In this intriguing collection of poems, a journey is conveyed. A concrete city, a frozen lake, and a range of steep mountains in the distance are just some of the metaphors that are used to describe the struggles we experience in life. As spiritual beings who are embracing a human existence, all we can do is persevere through the bad and rejoice in the good. Wherever we may find ourselves, it is our dreams that keep us purposeful and hopeful. They are like rainbows that point the way. And throughout everything, we carry emotional baggage with us, as though it is a suitcase that we can't get rid of. Our fears, hopes, pains, and joys go wherever we go because they are a part of us. It is up to us to find the stars in the sky and to heal what causes the tears to flow from our eyes. The inner journey to wholeness begins when the outer world is seen as a catalyst for change. So grip the handle of your suitcase all the more tightly because there are places to go and places to leave behind in these poems.
