Many students plan to go to college or university, but they don't know what they are looking for, and what constitutes a good university education. Often parents, even many who are college graduates, are unable to help them. In "A University Education for the 21st Century: The Opening of the American Mind." Fr. Juan R. Vélez helps students and parents think about the real purpose of a university education: the formation of the mind and the will. He presents a picture of what this formation looks like following the classical Western Tradition. This book challenges students to seek a meaningful college education and offers them suggestions on how to choose the right school and the right curriculum to achieve that goal.
