No further reply has ever been received from Mrs. Akers. N o suit has ever been commenced against Mr. Ball or Mr. Dodd to settle the question on proper evidence before a legal tribunal. Mrs. Akers has never since been heard from either by a reply to the letters, by suit, or in the public prints.
