A VOW SO WICKED
A Forbidden Bargain Dark Vampire Romantasy
They were born enemies. The crown made them prisoners. The bargain made them everything.
When cursewright ESME ATHERTON refuses to bind a killing curse into the crown's newest blade, she's sentenced to Vaultmere, a tide-locked fortress prison where the sea decides when you're allowed to breathe. Six months into her sentence, she has one job left: keep the wards from failing, and keep her head down.
Then a new prisoner arrives in chains built to kill him slowly.
SYPH GODRIC is the last surviving son of a noble house the crown destroyed eighty-one years ago, wearing a collar that's counting down to his execution one tide at a time. He needs a cursewright skilled enough to unravel it without triggering the very curse it's built to enforce. Esme is the only one in the fortress who can. What starts as a desperate bargain, her hands for his freedom, becomes something neither of them bargained for: an undeniable pull between a witch who refuses to be a weapon and a vampire who refuses to be erased.
To survive Vaultmere, break the collar's curse, and outrun a warden who answers only to the crown, Esme and Syph must trust the one person they were raised to see as the enemy. But as their fragile alliance deepens into something fiercer, they uncover a secret buried for eighty-one years, one that could burn the crown's throne to the ground, and paint targets on both their backs for good.
