Pettijohn Steve was born in Independence, Missouri and moved to the New Orleans area with his family just in time to enter eighth grade. He went into the Coast Guard after high school. Went to boot camp in Alameda, California was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska and came to Seattle in 1976. Met and married Karen and soon went into the National Guard. Steve has done mechanical work for most of his adult life. After his accident in 2004, he was graduated from Edmonds Community College with an AA in Computer Sciences. He and Karen reside in Snohomish County of Washington State.
