Kidnapped. Enslaved. Forgotten. Halima, a brilliant, shy, teenage girl with an ambitious future, is studying hard with her friends in a boarding school for their upcoming final mock examination unaware that they are about to face a much harder examination, one that would test their willingness to live or perish. They are taken hostage by a vicious and blood-thirsty terrorist group and held in the deadly Sambisa Forest, the terrorist camp. They become 21st century slaves and are subjected to unimaginable and heart-breaking physical and emotional torture. Trapped in these circumstances and having lost all hope for a rescue, Halima needs the trust and cooperation of her close friends to plot a secret and watertight plan in their quest for freedom. The odds stacked against them seem insuperable. The risk of getting shot by the constantly watchful camp guards is one thing. The thought of the dangers lurking in every inch of the snake-infested forest is another. Would they succeed? The consequences of failure are unthinkable.
