This book is a compilation of my learning’s that follow the journey of a child from the womb to adulthood. The book explores themes important to the development of children; factors from maternal health, parenting techniques, special needs, responses to crisis and other insights from the lens of an occupational therapist and clinical psychologist.
My learning’s come directly from my practice, distilled into reflections during the COVID lockdown and ensuing year. It was during this time that I took to writing weekly articles to share my thoughts on how children were being impacted by the unprecedented experience of living through a pandemic. At the end of this period, this book came to be.
The stories and insights in this book are colored by the fabric of Indian society, family structures and economic stratification that influences access, inclusion and therefore well-being outcomes of my patients.
