Perhaps, you are one of three girls, or one of five boys that was sexually abused by the time you were eighteen years old. Unfortunately, I fell into that nasty category. Incest happened to me in my Christian home during the first eighteen years of my life. The first ten years were mostly forgotten, or repressed, until I was close to forty years old, and in counseling. Once I studied the list carefully, I discovered that I checked yes next to 86 of the 99 after-effects. No wonder I always felt so odd and flawed my entire life! Finally, understanding what I was up-against, it was easier for me to comprehend all my problems, heal, forgive, love and move past the damage done by abuse.
