Once upon a time there lived a poor tailor یو وخت هلته یو غریب خیاط اوسېده this poor tailor had a son called Aladdin دې بې وزله خیاطي یو زوی درلود چې علاء الدین نومېده Aladdin was a careless, idle boy who did nothing علاءالدین یو بې پروا، بې کاره هلک و چې هیڅ یې نه کاوه although, he did like to play ball all day long که څه هم، هغه ټوله ورځ د بال لوبې کول خوښول this he did in the streets with other little idle boys دا یې د نورو کوچنیو بې کاره هلکانو سره په کوڅو کې وکړل This so grieved the father that he died دې کار پلار دومره غمجن کړ چې مړ شو his mother cried and prayed, but nothing helped مور یې ژړل او دعا یې وکړه، خو هیڅ مرسته یې ونه کړه despite her pleading, Aladdin did not mend his ways د هغې د غوښتنې سره سره، علاالدین خپله لاره سمه نه کړه
