This is the story of my paternal great grandfather's immigration from Naples, Italy to Gloversville, New York in 1898. At age forty-seven Pasquale DaCorsi immigrated to America to make a better life for his family. He left his wife and sons behind in Italy with the plan of having them join him a few months later. As his ship arrives in the New York harbor his eyes immediately gaze at the majestic Statue of Liberty. He is brought to tears with the statue in full view as he realizes his new dawn is about to begin. This is his Alba Nuova.
