Have you ever wondered if a duck could raise a cat, or a mouse raise a squirrel? The world we live in is uniquely and wonderfully made. From deep oceans to rushing river water to mountains and forests, there are all types of living creatures living day to day situations that we can only try to imagine. The story of Sammye is about a raccoon whose forest catches on fire, and he loses his family & home all in one day. What do you think will become of this tiny raccoon in a forest after everything is gone? This is a autobiographical children's book that opens the world up to adoption in ways it has never seen before. The topic of being adopted is one that can be hard to discuss or process at times. Taking this journey with Sammye can help open discussion and help bring the family together and build on what family can look like when it is different. Family is not determined by DNA alone, but rather a sense of being chosen and belonging to something more. Come along and see what happens to one forest family, "All Because of Sammye".
