A tribe of field mice on the South Side of Chicago have their work cut out for them. One of them intends to fight the neighbor's cat, and is doing bench presses with a mousetrap to get in shape. Another feels like everything was better when Barack Obama, then a state senator, lived across the alley. A third has become addicted to garbage, and a fourth is working on complex chemistry experiments that could blow up the entire enterprise. And the humans who live above all this drama have their own problems with an aging rogue cop who is scared of mice, cats, kids, and pretty much everything the neighborhood has to offer. Can his partner, a young Black policeman specifically assigned by the Chief to police him, succeed in maintaining law, order, and common sense? Can the mice assist him?
