Like Jonah this is a story of self-doubt, self-insecurity, fear (not from lack of God's abilities but fear of personal assaults and self-image.) It's a story of a lifetime of seeing life from a bigger perspective and not concerned with individual concerns, like from a national perspective rather than from person to person. It is a story of wanting to share the peace and love experienced but always having the reality that our time as a nation has little time left to be an example for the world. It's a story of picking up bits of information that show why and how America was created by Jesus and why we were created to be a pre-runner for the Kingdom which Christ will establish. As a pre-runner we are the final nation created by the Gentiles to see if we can do what the Israelites were not able to do.
