This work is the latest in a series of NASA publications containing detailed predictions, maps, and meteorological data for future total and annular solar eclipses of interest. Published as part of NASA's Technical Publication (TP) series, the eclipse bulletins are prepared in cooperation with the Working Group on Eclipses of the International Astronomical Union and are provided as a public service to both the professional and lay communities, including educators and the media. In order to allow a reasonable lead time for planning purposes, eclipse bulletins are published 18 to 24 months before each event. On 10 May 1994, an annular eclipse of the Sun will be widely visible from the Western Hemisphere. The Moon's anti-umbral shadow delineates a path through North America including northern Mexico, the American southwest and midwest, the southern Great Lakes region, New England and maritime Canada. The path crosses the North Atlantic where it sweeps over the Azores and ends at sunset in Morocco. From within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, a partial eclipse will be seen from North American, eastern Siberia, western Europe and north Africa. Detailed predictions for this event are presented and include tables of geographic coordinates of the annular path, local circumstances for hundreds of cities, maps of the path of annular and partial eclipse, weather prospects, and the lunar limb profile.
