The following articles are almost reprinted in their original form as they appeared in the columns of The Rangoon Mail and, the last one, in the 1927 Congress Special of The Forward of Calcutta. The author's sudden arrest and the shoals of sedition- charges that were heaped on his head, along with the fact that he could not be let out on bail due to executive fiat, made it impossible for even a revision by him. The dates of publication are therefore appended to the contents. They are published at the insistence of the large number of his admirers, in this country and abroad, to meet the query, so often asked as to how he would have faced and like others to face, the present situation in India and abroad. This and his two previous and two recent books have, perforce, to serve as guides to his solution of some of the problems and embody his message to the country, for the glorious consummation of whose destiny, he is working and suffering.
