The seventh story in the Chosen to Serve series follows the principle of the rich young ruler. Jimmy ministers to a wealthy man - Trey "The Man" Howard, who was on campus in Tuscaloosa at the same time Jimmy was and played middle linebacker for 'Bear' Bryant. Accustomed to winning and getting his way, Trey has difficulty accepting the idea of walking in humble faith with Jesus.
Set during the construction of a high-rise building Trey is erecting in Houston, Jimmy becomes Trey's personal assistant and while doing that job, serves the Lord faithfully in showing Trey that there is so much more meaning in life than money.
Trey hears the Lord knocking and is intrigued in spite of himself. The concepts Jimmy shares, as he establishes himself as being very valuable in his assistance in the building project, work to cause Trey to give more credence to Jimmy's ministering.
As a representative of Trey, Jimmy forms a bond with the elderly contractor responsible for the project, resulting in a sharing of faith. The question is: Will Trey fall to the same destruction the rich young ruler did? Or will he understand that wealth is fleeting and the journey to the Lord cannot be bought?
