Not only does this book offer a retrospective / history of Todd Moore's infamous "road/house" press imprint, it features a unique look at the small press movement (1970's to the present) via interviews with authors published through "road/house" -- Dennis Gulling, Bruce Quast, Wayne Dundee, Tom Montag, Kurt Nimmo, Pat Mckinnon, Ron Androla, Tom House, Tony Moffeit, Alan Catlin, Ann Menebroker. "Belvidere, Books, and Guns" is a no holds barred look at indie, gonzo writing in its heyday. This was was / is an artistic style of writing inspired by Bukowski, rock N roll and bucking the system. To call this literary genre anti establishment is an understatement. This is punk rock in book form.
