Bishop Edward E. Shouse, Sr., has captured the essence of all that was known about our beloved Bishop Quander Lear Wilson, Sr., known to most of us as "Pappy." In this book you will find yourself laughing, crying, and remembering the good and the bad times. All who knew Bishop Wilson will find themselves somewhere in the pages of this story about him, this luminous man of God. Bishop Shouse has reached back in time and has unveiled the subject on "A Man Before His Time. "This account is about a powerful and loving man who left this earth too early for us but on time for God. He was a pastor among pastors who had many qualities of a true leader and spiritual father to countless individuals not only in the United States, but beyond those borders. Bishop Wilson was a "man after God's own heart" who fed the flock with divine knowledge, understanding, and an apostolic anointing. If you were ever in his presence you could feel the power of God flowing through him; the kind that wrought comfort, peace, and deliverance. He knew God and taught the law of God while depositing true nuggets in those that would receive, to assist in living a sin-less life, as much as humanly possible. As a pastor, he was sensitive and reasonable to those that sought the Lord. He showed he was willing to lay down his natural life for those who were in the vineyard of the Lord and needed protection. He went beyond his duty and gathered the lost sheep, comforting them in their fearful, stressful times.
