I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to men. I caught my first fiancé with another man. The guy I fell for in college, Lamarr, was, uh, far too blessed, shall we say? He's a basketball player, and I'm just an averaged sized girl. Physically, we weren't compatible.
Heartbroken, I eventually found Marvin. Also from a small town, he shared the same beliefs that I'd grown up on. Eventually, we got engaged.
But my best friend, Connie, has been scheming. She didn't need to keep Lamarr on my mind; he's always been there. But she put other things in there, including something called the Black Gauntlet Challenge. It was trending, she said. Twenty black men, and one girl. A girl like me.
I knew she was up to something, so I made my moves to stop her. I just didn't know that she was always two moves ahead of me...
Looks like I'm gonna be trending, too!
