God created Alex Goodfellow and Abel Brennan like he created two sides of the same coin. Their Colorado hometown Folkspine is filled with hatred towards those who supposedly don't live by God's laws, and when Alex thinks they're a victim of sin, their world falls apart. Up until now, Alex thought they knew who they were. But when their identity crumbles underneath them, they escape in art and desperately attempt to hold onto their old life. Abel observes their inner downfall while remaining trapped in the shadow cast by his bloodline.
