The story of America's gradual moral slide seems to exemplify the prophet Isaiah's depiction of the 'earth's defiled condition, in which the people have violated the Commandments of Yehovah Almighty. Therein, Isaiah presents the sobering judgments, saying: "The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant" (Isaiah 24: 5). On the 26th of June 2015, the United States Supreme Court decided to redefine Yehovah's divine precept on the institution of marriage, thereby rebelling against the Word. Therein, America is parodied in antediluvian history, by the fall of Sodom, in which the prevalence contempt for marriage and avarice were besetting sins. Bailouts, tax cuts, trade treaties, and stimulus packages are only palliative medicines for a nation that is sicker that the doctors of politics and economics care to admit. In the science of the nation's pain, one should not only control the symptoms, but deal with the cause. If the people will only turn from their wicked ways, Yahushua would heal their maladies, (2 Chronicles 7: 14).
