The start of the Buffalo Sabres' 2026 Stanley Cup Playoff run was initially less than ideal. Minutes into the third period of Game 1 in their first-round series against the Boston Bruins, the Sabres found themselves trailing 2-0. Suddenly, the tide shifted; an overwhelming energy surged through KeyBank Center as forward Tage Thompson fired home two goals just 3 minutes and 42 seconds apart to level the score. Less than a minute later, defenseman Mattias Samuelsson beat the goaltender to put Buffalo ahead. The Sabres never relinquished the lead, completing an epic comeback to win their first playoff game in 15 years and "throw the first punch" in the best-of-seven series. This photo captures the raw emotion of postseason hockey, making it an essential pickup for any Buffalo fan or serious NHL collector.
