On October 25 1966, Don Boudria began his career on Parliament Hill—as a busboy working in the parliamentary cafeteria. It would be the start of a long career on the Hill, one which would see him go from cleaning tables to sitting at the cabinet table as a minister. During his nearly four decades on the Hill, Boudria saw it all. As a member of the infamous "Rat Pack" he tormented the governing Conservatives and their leader Brian Mulroney. (Years later, a still-fuming Mulroney would describe Boudria and his fellow Rat Packers as "Nazis.") And as an MP and cabinet minister Boudria would help create the Liberal policies and programs that ushered Canada into the 21st century.
