As a contented little church girl, Lynn never pictured herself to be “that woman” in the grocery store aisle. Yet gripping her shopping cart in one hand, and juggling her hysterical son with the other, life had become messy. Hoping her child’s erratic behaviour was nothing more than an extreme case of the terrible twos, her denial eventually ushered her into survival mode. And thus it was, by the time her son was diagnosed with more labels and medications than she cared to hear, she found herself on the path of the unexpected. Today, more than thirty years later, Lynn’s journey continues. Navigating life through both humour and tears, her desire is to encourage God’s people to share their own narrative.
