Evelyn is distraught. The whole family has been thrown into a state of concern. Lisa misses her boy and seems to feel only emptiness. Evelyn feels the same way. Will is not there. He is with the injured Mike. A new detective is in town, and it looks like the Hornets have met their match.
Evelyn's POV
I am terrified! Will and Mike might be injured from the bullets raining down on them which we heard over the intercom. We are on our way to Mexico. Paul uses his connection to help us get out to a safe place. He takes Jamie from Lisa for protection and that leaves my sister feeling empty. I share her emptiness as I long for Will's presence. A phone call, one evening, heightens my fear.
Will's POV
Mike is injured and I have to watch over him. A new detective is taking his spot in the investigation of the Hornets. She seems to be making good strides in catching up with the bad guys. The news is a testimony of this. Mike is not happy to be rendered useless even though I try to convince him to rest with the family in Mexico. Paul helps plan our reunion with the family by getting our tickets ready. Mike disappears at the airport while I am distracted and I have to lie to the family.
