Fleeing poverty and oppression in Liberia, Levia and her mother settled in the USA, in hope of achieving the American Dream. In her search for romance, Levia met a "nice guy" from church. She let her guard down and fell into the trap of a sexual predator. This traumatic experience led Levia to battle suicidal thoughts.
