As Deaf Studies emerged in the 1970s and 1980s as a field of academic study and inquiry, the importance of Deaf Studies in education became an area of interest among thought leaders of the time. Deaf Studies for Educators is a collection of papers from a 1991 conference convened to explore Deaf Studies as a framework for teaching and learning.
