Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. The novel was first published in 1937 and is considered one of Williams' most significant works.
The novel is a unique blend of supernatural fiction, psychological drama, and theological exploration. It explores the idea of a spiritual and metaphysical realm that exists alongside our everyday reality.
Charles Walter Stansby Williams (20 September 1886 – 15 May 1945) was a British poet, novelist, playwright, theologian and literary critic.
