Devils Tears Charles Brown, a socially awkward, heavy metal loving, Atheist and cat owner can find anything, except shawarma at four in the morning. But when tasked to recover stolen religious artifacts he must seek expert help. Which lands him at the church door of Reverend Victoria Fox, an intelligent, charismatic, feisty single mother who loves fig newtons and red wine. She's as gregarious as he is introverted. Quickly they find themselves enlisted by the Ottawa Police to help with a case of bizarre robbery, murder, shootouts and bar fights, while awkwardly learning how to navigate each other, in a race with organized criminals, biker gangs, UK gangsters and mean old ladies to recover seemingly meaningless artifacts before they are illegally sold into private collections.
