Discrepancy is a hyper-intense crime thriller about a guy who has no choice but to rob a bank. His mother is being held for ransom by a violent drug syndicate. The clock is ticking.
After his girlfriend's cousin dies tragically from a drug overdose, Curt Banks feels guilty because the majority of the drugs in his small town come from him. His line of work is a secret to everyone, except for his small-knit crew of rivals. The death of the young girl opens his eyes to the fact that he is poisoning his own people.
The decision to quit comes simple to him, but his subordinates don't take it so well. That same night, Curt gets robbed at gunpoint by masked men. They beat him and take all the cash from his last shipment. He owes that money to a group of very powerful organized criminals. He worries what his boss will think.
Gary Pitman does not think. He sends his goons to abduct and hold Curt's mom for collateral. Of course, they send for Curt so he can see her tied up and trembling. They give him a deadline to come up with all the money: one week.
The only way he can come up with the fast cash is to rob a bank with his best friend. While all this is going on, Curt keeps his girlfriend in the dark. He expects her to blindly stand by his side. She may be the only person he can fully trust, but he has a code by which to live by.
Omerta is the code of silence he worships. He has to be true to the game, but will the game be true to him?
Corrupt and motivated cops help to make Curt Banks' life even more complicated. When he gets boxed in with nowhere to turn, he relies on his shady friends who call him "brother."
Discrepancy is a tragic story that unfolds the consequences of trusting all the wrong people in life.
Campanella's words will jerk you forward with a rush of emotion, and he never lets off.
