The ten members of my mother's family ended up in Houston, Texas, to better their lives, and their religious belief has been one thing that her four sisters, three brothers, and parents could always rely on to keep them together. Members of our family have been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice when called upon from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and now one of my nephew's, son is going to be deployed to Iraq. I now have forty-two nephews, and nieces that have had that sense of belonging nurtured into their lives.
