Eleanor McLeod is a well-established writer of poetry for children and her first two anthologies have also been welcomed by teachers as they include poems that are suitable for each school term. In this new anthology there are still sections for different times of the year but also sections on the natural world, families and travel. Initially aimed at Primary school children there are some thoughtful poems that would appeal to older pupils. As a teacher herself her connection with her young readers makes them relevant and entertaining.
