The author spent five years at "Loreto House" in Dublin as a member of the core team delivering a year-long personal development programme for priests and religious with a view to equipping them for the ministries of formation and leadership. This book describes many of the practices, customs and themes of the programme, and mines the disciplines of philosophy, psychology and theology in order to understand and appreciate better the phenomenon of personal transformation. It will be of special interest to those involved in the ministry of formation at any level. More broadly, it will also be of interest to anyone wishing to reflect on the dynamics of personal transformation from different viewpoints.
