Maggie was burned by love when she was very young and she soon realized that what she wanted out of life was luxury and glamour, so she pursued that with zeal. She pounced on Sam at college, who was a promising man with a wealthy family and great prospects. For a time this worked out well for them because he was devoted to her and showered her with affection, but then the company he controlled got in trouble and his father, Jack, returned to bail him out. When Maggie meets Jack her greed overpowers her and she see that the older man can offer her things that Sam can't, so she sets about seducing her boyfriend's father.
