"God Created Girls to be Girls" utilizes early phonetic skills and common high frequency words that support beginning readers. This story leads the reader to discover God's truth about her identity which is a gift from God at birth. How we look, feel, or what we wear can change daily, but the simple truth is that our gender will not. Included in the back of the book is a special section for your child to write and make personal connections with the story content. Children get bombarded daily with a variety of messages about their gender and identity as they take in information from media, school, parents and the church. We, as the friends and family who love them, have a responsibility to speak the truth found in scripture into their hearts and minds. The bright, lighthearted illustrations along with the powerful message and repetitive text will draw the child in your life back to read it again and again!
