The Christmas Season brings many special gifts, but few as rare and precious as the gift of a second chance at happiness. In the bleak midwinter of 1814, Christabel Wilton and her young son have little to celebrate. A soldier’s widow has enough trouble making ends meet the rest of the year, let alone at Christmas.
