Khalil's death helped me to live again, learn again, and to also love myself and God again... Ironically, if I had my way Khalil would still be here but he's not and I've had to endure the indescribable pain of finding my son's lifeless body dangling in his bedroom closet. He used a cognac colored belt. A belt, I purchased, was the weapon of his self-inflicted demise... and now, for the first time since his death, I can hold his belt and his skateboard and bravely tell this story...
