A suffering climate, a controversial PR campaign, and two people tangled up in romance, danger and an attempt to do right by earth. “Earth needs a PR agency, or we will be relabeled as Homo Exitus.” With increased climate change, the half-joke, in-house saying at SpokenOf had lost some of its wit, so when an opportunity arises to live up to their company vision, management is quick to accept. Edith is an up-and-coming manager at the New York-based agency, and selected to handle the new account. The client has a controversial request: to considerably decrease consumption, arguing that current initiatives to save the climate will be too little too late. Edith is both impressed and provoked by her new partner – their honorable and time-defining project, their extraordinary physique and their . . . superiority, is hard to resist. And tolerate. Dante is unprepared for the emotions overtaking him when he’s around Edith. They don’t align with his training, and the vows are clear: stay away from emotional attachments, or you’re out. Their mission is urgent, so finding another agency isn’t an option. A temporary weakness, he tells himself. That’s all. The PR campaign isn’t appreciated by everyone, and when investments and profits are being challenged, danger increases. Also, bit by bit, doubts are raised about the client and their true agenda: Is nature the real assignment, or is it . . . human nature?
