Craigan sets out to examine what it means for humanity to be created in the image of God. Centered in the story of creation he encourages the reader to think carefully about how to make the biblical story the central story in the life of the reader. The second chapter is the most theological chapter as he sets out to explain the "imago dei" (image of God) in humanity. He then proceeds to look at the centrality of human creativity as a critical component of what it means to be human. A creative imagination is needed for humanity to have options to choose from. Tragically humanity used that creativity to imagine a future without God, but God set out on a mission to restore humanity to its original state. In the second part of the book Craigan explores the calling of God to live as God's image bearers in the world. It is a calling to a new way of living in which God calls for exclusive allegiance as humanity learns to once again use their creative imagination for the kingdom of God.
