IF I KNEW I WAS A WRITER TOO –
This was never meant to be a book, as Laleeta wrote these expressions recollecting her journey as a writer. She just wanted to scribble the experiences people go through that she witnessed around her - music, and daily activities to examine universal themes like the wonders of relationships, the identity of the self, happiness, death and spirituality, philosophy, her fantasies, and love. After writing more than a handful of poems, web series, and regional films; it was the right time for her to publish her first collection of poetry. If you read her writing, you will know that expressing the innermost human feelings via different forms of the medium - is something which she holds very dear to her heart. Poetry is where she feels most at home.
She wonders if her grandfather – who was a renowned Marathi novelist from India – had known that she could also write well, they would’ve discussed several ideas and he might have seen the artist in her.
