One woman.
One bike.
No sense of direction.
Racing to Rhodes.
"A riotous ride through South Africa's premiere extreme challenge, the Race to Rhodes, Ingrid's personal account is Hilarious. Irreverent. Inspirational. As rapid and raucous a read as the final downhill on the Race to Rhodes. Racier actually. And funnier."
If the Cleat Fits tells the real-life story of Ingrid's adventures while participating in the Race to Rhodes, an extreme, non-stop, self-navigational, mountain bike race from Pietermaritzburg to Rhodes in South Africa. A journey of 500 kms, it takes place in mid-winter, through some of the most spectacular, mountains, forests and grasslands of South Africa, connecting with remote communities.
Ingrid's wit as she doggedly cycles solo through the most rugged terrain - and often the wrong routes - is side-splitting.
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
"Beautifully written, totally captivating and tea-spurting-out-of-my-nose-hilarious all at the same time. Bravo!"
"Just finished reading Ingrid’s book. Followed by 5min of cleaning up the coffee off my laptop screen that emanated from my nostrils at various points in the book. Very entertaining and amusing."
